Iowa Voters Support Extending Smokefree Law to Casinos

There is a push this year in the Iowa State House to protect every casino worker from the dangers of secondhand smoke.¬†The Sioux City Journal writes a compelling editorial in support of extending Iowa’s current smokefree law to casinos. ¬†Currently, Iowa’s smokefree law covers restaurants, bars/taverns and workplace vehicles.

A recent survey in Iowa of 500 likely voters found overwhelming support (63%) to end the smoking exemption for casinos.

While Indiana continues to debate even covering restaurants and bars, peer mid-western states are passing us by. Want this to change? You can help.
